Join us @ WOS Productions
Do you harbour a secret ambition to tread the boards? Are you often tempted to suddenly burst into song just for the heck of it, or find yourself dancing round your room to the radio? Maybe you’re a dab hand with a paintbrush and a saw, or you’re great at making costumes. If so, then WOS might well be your spiritual home! Whether you’re a seasoned am-drammer, or you’ve never set foot on a stage, you’ll find us a warm, welcoming and friendly bunch. You’ll often find us having a natter in the pub after rehearsals, and we organise several social events throughout the year.
We’re always looking for actors, singers, dancers and behind the scenes help, so why not pop along to a rehearsal and say hello?
Drop our Secretary a line at [email protected] to let her know you’re coming, and you’ll be sure of a warm welcome. She might even give you an extra biscuit during the tea break!
We look forward to meeting you soon!

Auditions & Membership
Subscriptions
Our shows are of a very professional standard, which means they cost a lot to put on. For this reason, all members of WOS pay an annual membership fee of £35, paid in January of each year before auditions. This contribution is used to help run the group and put on our fantastic productions. There is also a £65 performance fee for each show.
Auditions
Everyone is welcome to audition, regardless of whether you’re a member of WOS or not. We’ll post the audition dates for each show on this website, usually in November/December and May/June, so keep your eyes peeled!
If you’re a non-member and are given a part, even if it’s chorus, you'll need to pay the £35 membership plus the £65 performing fee. We like to keep things nice and fair, and it means that we all pay the same. If you don't get a part, but want to become a full member of the society and have the opportunity to be involved in two shows a year, you’ll have another very simple audition – it’s not scary, you can even sing Happy Birthday for this one!
